We have a sneaking suspicion that those
who watched Osten Taylor on Survivor 7 Pearl Islands
will forever be hard-pressed to show him any
healthy respect. In a word, he quit.
Halfway through the game, and even before
the merge, he decided to pack it in.
He solicited the votes of his tribemates,
and it was "Later Osten, c'ya on the reunion
show". He muttered something about his
body being a car, and the car needing fuel
and a lube job ~ but here at
SurvivorHunks.com we just saw a martyr
falling on his torch after realizing that he
stood no real chance of winning.
Not that Osten was the first Survivor to ever depart a
tribe voluntarily. S2's Mitchell Olson
and S4's Gabriel Cade come quickly to mind
as former castaways who also engineered
their own demises. Even so, there was
something particularly unsettling about
seeing a strapping dude like Osten outlasted
in Panama ~ outlasted with ease mind you ~
by several petite, delicate females.
On the other hand, 'He who quits and runs
away, lives to return another day'. Or
so they say...
