If you've ever in your life had a
nightmare that took you back to your
childhood, then you may be able to empathize
with Jonathan Libby of Survivor 10 Palau.
He and Wanda Shirk were the
odd-persons-out in that great neighborhood
tradition of choosing up sides. When
we were all kids the last-one-picked either
played right field or hiked-and-blocked.
But on Survivor, cruelty of cruelties, the
last-ones-picked go home. Jonathan
himself probably came up with the best line
to recap his experience when he told the
Associated Press, "Honestly it sucked a
lot."
We may never know
exactly why Jonathan didn't make the cut.
Judging from appearances he's a strapping
dude, and one would think he'd make a tribe
just that much stronger for his presence ~
all the moreso considering some of the elder
hunks chosen before of him. But of
course on Survivor, the strong don't always
survive, case in point Texan Jonathan Libby.
